Association of Growth Hormone Receptor Gene Polymorphisms (rs6180, rs6182, rs6184) with Skeletal Class III Malocclusion and Prognathic Mandibles in the Deutero-Malay Race

This study investigated genetic factors behind skeletal class III malocclusion with prognathic mandibles in the Deutero-Malay race. Analysis of saliva samples from 104 participants showed that the rs6180 polymorphism in the GHR gene is significantly linked to mandibular protrusion, suggesting it influences mandibular growth and contributes to class III malocclusion.
