This study tested Peperomia pellucida (Pepper Elder) extract as an adjunct therapy for periodontitis in rats. The extract reduced periodontal pocket depth and improved inflammatory markers (IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-10, IL-13), showing significant anti-inflammatory effects comparable to chlorhexidine.
