This study developed a novel nano α-tricalcium phosphate (nano α-TCP) and silver nanoparticle (AgNPs) biocomposite for direct pulp capping and evaluated its physicochemical and antibacterial properties. The formulation containing 1% AgNPs demonstrated the best performance, exhibiting sustained calcium and phosphate ion release, a stable alkaline pH, adequate mechanical strength, and strong antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus acidophilus, highlighting its potential as a promising bioactive pulp-capping material.
