This case report investigates the relationship between herpes labialis (HL), psychological stress, and sun exposure. HL, caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), can be triggered by factors such as stress, depression, anxiety, ultraviolet (UV) light, fever, and poor diet. The report describes a 20-year-old male florist experiencing severe anxiety and frequent sun exposure who developed HL symptoms—vesicles on the upper lip confirmed by reactive HSV-1 IgG. Treatment included antiviral medication, supportive care, and advice to limit sun exposure and address anxiety. A review of similar cases from 1994 to 2024 supports the connection between HL outbreaks, psychological distress, and UV exposure. The report highlights the importance of recognizing these triggers for better prevention and management of HL.
