This study investigated gingerols and shogaols from Zingiber officinale var. sunti as potential anti-anxiety agents targeting the human GABAA receptor. Molecular docking and dynamics showed 6-gingerol and 10-shogaol had stable binding comparable to diazepam, supported by phytochemical analysis of the extract. These compounds may act as natural allosteric agonists of GABAA receptors, though with lower activity than diazepam.
