This pilot in vitro study evaluated the effects of guide sleeve material and height on sleeve hardness and drill wear during guided minimally invasive endodontic access. Zirconia sleeves exhibited the highest hardness, while resin sleeves were the softest, with sleeve height showing no significant effect. Although all materials maintained their hardness after drilling, substantial drill wear and thermal damage were observed, particularly with harder sleeve materials, highlighting the importance of appropriate sleeve selection and effective cooling strategies in guided endodontic procedures.
