This study evaluated the antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of Nigella sativa (black cumin) seed ethanol extract (BCSE) for oral health applications. BCSE showed concentration-dependent antibacterial activity against Porphyromonas gingivalis, Streptococcus mutans, and Candida albicans, as well as strong antioxidant activity in multiple assays. The findings suggest that BCSE could serve as a natural, plant-based ingredient in toothpaste and other oral care products.
