This rat study found that Peperomia pellucida extract, rich in bioactive compounds, shows antibacterial activity against Porphyromonas gingivalis and reduces inflammation in periodontitis. This study compared collagen-chitosan-PVA membranes with pericardial membranes in rats. The collagen-chitosan-PVA membrane degraded more slowly, promoted more blood vessel formation, and caused less inflammation by day 30.
